Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using AutoReleaseNote ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

AutoReleaseNote is a software-as-a-service platform that helps teams transform raw Git commit history into clean, professional release notes using artificial intelligence. The Service includes both a web interface and command-line interface (CLI) tools.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscription and Payment

AutoReleaseNote operates on a subscription-based model with tiered pricing plans. Payments are processed through Paddle, our third-party payment processor. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay all fees associated with your selected plan
  • Authorize Paddle to charge your payment method
  • Understand that subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • Accept that all fees are non-refundable except as required by law

You may cancel your subscription at any time, and your access will continue until the end of your current billing period.

5. Usage Limits

Your subscription plan includes specific usage limits (e.g., number of release notes generated per month). Exceeding these limits may result in additional charges or require upgrading to a higher tier plan.

6. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of all content and data you provide to the Service, including Git commit information and generated release notes. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring that any data you provide does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

7. API Access and CLI Tools

If you use our API or CLI tools, you agree to:

  • Keep your API tokens secure and confidential
  • Not share your API tokens with unauthorized parties

  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
